How we treat charges, pass-through fees, and refunds
No hidden fees
Package prices on Pricing are in U.S. dollars per completed report. We do not add undisclosed checkout fees, “processing” markups, or surprise add-ons after you select a package. If a court, county, or database vendor charges a pass-through access fee, it is shown at cost before you confirm the order.
When a refund applies
- A duplicate charge or a charge you did not authorize
- An order we cancelled before any consumer-report work started
- A billing error we confirm on our side
When a refund does not apply
- A completed or in-progress consumer report or research file (work product already produced)
- A result you disagree with after a lawful, purpose-certified search ran
- Public building-lookup pages, which are free and not a paid report
Inaccurate report data is handled as an FCRA dispute in the product, not as a pricing refund.
